  • Welcome to the Crypt! Unlike the fictional James Clark’s horde of government secrets, you won’t be required to navigate a labyrinth of underground secret passageways to access all the goodies we’ve got in here for safekeeping. James Clark isn’t the only part of Blackheart that has a real-life counterpart. Open the door a little further into the Crypt and see how little fiction there is in Blackheart. Find out how to access the back room, where we’ve got interviews with some of your favorite, and not-so-favorite, characters! Don’t worry about being plunged into inky blackness if the lights go out — we’ve got generators to keep the power on.

My dad, the real James Clark, taught me so much and writing about a fictionalized character based on him seemed a natural extension of my other works. The Cosmic Clearance attributed to the fictional James Clark in Blackheart is real. My feeling is that my dad and I both have Cosmic Clearance, empowering each of us to do our life’s work. Although the arenas are different, free access to other realms allows each of us to do far more than might otherwise be possible. My dad’s Native American heritage gave him a rare, visionary understanding of the world and his place in it, and propelled him to always operate with the greater good in mind. His uncanny ability to perceive how everything is interconnected permeated his senses to such a degree as to enable him to far outlast his peers. His high regard for life and the lives of others was the underpinning for his being a freedom fighter for humanity, nature, and the ecosystem we all share. All of this converged in my dad to lead him to a life of service, a legacy I am pleased to keep alive. I am grateful to have had the opportunity before his death to help my dad write a book about his career as a counterintelligence agent. Reviews of Operation Swordfish are available here.
